The topic of this weeks 5 Fandom Friday is favorite fictional aliens. Admittedly, I wasn’t very excited about this topic to begin with but after thinking about it I realized just how many aliens are in my favorite shows. I guess after you fall in love with a character you forget they are not human. I found it difficult to narrow down my list and had to leave out aliens like Gizmo, ALF, Groot, Gir and Zim.

1. Spock from Star Trek.

No list of extraterrestrials would be complete without Spock. His expertise and level-headedness is invaluable to the enterprise. (RIP Mr. Nimoy)

2. Yoda from Star Wars.

I’m always a fan of the cleverly wise characters. Yoda is no exception the fact that he is a Jedi badass makes him even better.

3. The Doctor from Doctor Who.

I first heard of classic Doctor Who when I was a child just getting into Sci-Fi. When they restarted the series in 2005 I was excited to check it out. It pulled me in and  I quickly became a fan.

4. Ford from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Ford is the ultimate Brolien. He saves Arthur and is a fantastic and humorous travel companion. Ford is my favorite character in the novels.

5. Mork from Mork and Mindy.

Mork from Ork! Other than the fact that Mork is portrayed by Robin Williams he is a fantastic alien because of the sheer humor and energy he radiates.

Honorable Mention: Stitch from Lilo and Stitch.

Stitch in his own unique way helps heal an already broken family. He is adorable and it’s hard not to fall in love with him.
